Art Exhibition
Friday, 3 July 2009 5:00 PM

An Exhibition of Paintings by Julia Francis.

"This exhibition continues my exploration of ‘brushless painting’. As with all of my work, nature is the primal inspiration, its ever changing light, shade and colours offer me an endless source of material to work with. The painting process develops organically mirroring the way the landscape regenerates and rewrites itself. This is seen in the paintings through a weaving of calligraphic marks against the grid. This juxtaposition represents the chaotic within organized systems. For this exhibition many of the works specifically focus on the way nature often repeats its motifs and forms in a multitude of intriguing ways."

OPENING: Friday 3rd July at 5pm. Please join us for drinks with the artist.

EXHIBITION: Continues until Sunday 19th July, 10am till 4pm.

Art Exhibition
Friday, 7 August 2009 5:00 PM

An Exhibition by Marek Zayler.

"I have been creatively engaged for the last 25 plus years. Working in charcoal on newsprint then acrylic on paper graduating to canvas, and finally oils about six years ago. It soon became obvious that there were themes emerging. Faces and human body shapes intrigued me. It became apparent that I was painting about restriction. I am in a wheelchair so that made sense and gave me a very particular perspective about life around me."

EXHIBITION: Friday 7th August until Sunday 23rd August.

Over 60 + sculptures are displayed amidst the 5 vineyards of the Wollombi Valley Wine Trail – an eclectic mix of fine art and great wine! 2009 is the 7th year of the Sculpture in the Vineyards.

Visit and vote for the Peoples Choice Award!

An eclectic mix of art and wine, this exhibition combines a taste of fine regional wines with a drive through some of NSW\'s most historic and scenic countryside. Each of the vineyards provides a very different setting encompassing vineyards and valleys with superb views - many of the sculptures are site-specific to express a comment on society or a link to the environment such as the vigour of the vines or more controversial themes.

Our sculptors are local, such as internationally reknown artisit, Paul Selwood from Wollombi, also regional and interstate based sculptors.

The Event is proudly hosted by vineyards - Millbrook Estate, Undercliff Winery, Stonehurst Cedar Creek, Wollombi Wines and Wollombi Village Vineyard.
